Detox Diet Plan

A good detox diet plan will help you get fit quickly and gain your energy back fast!

Detox, the short word for "detoxification", is the natural process in which your body constantly continues to neutralize and/or eliminate toxic products from your body. These toxins can be anything that has the potential to harm body tissue. These toxins include also waste products which result from the normal cell activities. They are mostly compounds like ammonia, lactic acid and homocysteine. Then there are the human-made toxins entering your body entering your body through ingestion or inhalation or even only through contact with the skin. We are permanently exposed to the these external toxins in our environment, in our food and water and even in the air we breathe. The liver, intestines, kidneys, lungs, skin, blood and lymphatic systems work together to ensure that toxins are transformed chemically to less harmful compounds and excreted from the body. This natural cleansing process can be assisted with the right diet.

What is most important, is that you chose a diet that will allow you to stay on it for some time. The '5 day wonders', diets that promise to let you drop the pounds in a few quick days are simply no good. They will usually only deplete your body of water and maybe some fat, but when you stop dieting, you'll be back to your former weight in no time.

So it's smart to go a bit slower, feel comfortable and get lasting results. A good detox diet plan will include a list with the right foods, some detox diet recipes and a few tips how to exercise in addition to changing eating habits.
